Connecting Cultures. Building Community.

Ryde Together is a City of Ryde initiative that pairs newly arrived residents, particularly those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds with local Volunteer Mentors to foster connection, inclusion, and community confidence.

Whether you’re new to Australia or simply new to Ryde, this program can help you settle in, meet new people, and better understand the local services, customs, and community life.

Are you a new resident from a CALD background?

We understand that adjusting to a new community and sometimes a new country can be overwhelming. Our mentors are here to walk alongside you, offering friendly support, helpful information, and local knowledge to help you feel welcome and at home.

Are you a long-term resident who wants to make a difference?

Volunteer as a Mentor and help create a more inclusive Ryde by supporting and guiding someone through their settlement journey.

This program is about building meaningful relationships, celebrating cultural diversity, and creating a strong, connected community for everyone.
