2026 marks the 80th Anniversary of City of Ryde Libraries and to celebrate we want you to share your City of Ryde Libraries memory with us!

Between Monday 2nd February to Monday 16th February, drop into your local branch and grab an entry form and share your favourite library memory with us. This can either be a drawing in the provided space or you can share a few words, if words of affirmation is your love language. 

Once you're completed your entry form, submit your entry by handing it to library staff at any City of Ryde Libraries branch. 

All entries go into a random prize draw and a handful will also be selected and exhibited. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions at the bottom of this page for more details.

Prizes: There will be 1x Grand Prize consisting of a Kobo eReader (valued at $260) plus a personalised 1-on-1 online library setup session with a librarian to get you started on your new device! There will also be 2x runner up prizes consisting of a T2 x Penguin Gift Set (valued at $35).

The following terms and conditions apply:

1. The Promoter is City of Ryde Libraries of 1 Pope Street, Ryde NSW 2112, ABN number 81 621 292 610.
2. The City of Ryde “2026 Library Lovers My Library Memory Competition” commences at 9:00am Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (AEDST) on Monday 2 February 2026 and ends at 9:00pm AEDST on Monday 16 February 2026.
3. Entry into the promotion is open to members of City of Ryde libraries aged 18 and over.
4. To enter the competition entrants must complete the prompt on the entry form by sharing a library memory either in the form of a drawing or text. The entry form will be available in person at all City of Ryde Libraries branches and online. The entry form must be completed and submitted in branch only.
5. Participation in the competition by completing the above step is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
6. Entries are limited to one (1) per person.
7. Families of City of Ryde staff members and Councillors and any promotional partners are not able to enter the competition.
8. There is one (1) major prize, consisting of a Kobo eReader (Valued at $260) and two runners-up prizes of a gift set (valued at $35 each).
9. This competition is a game of chance. All valid entries received during the competition period will be entered into the competition. The draw will take place by Monday 23 February 2026.
10. A winner will be selected at random.
11. The Winner will be contacted via phone or email and announced via the City of Ryde Libraries social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.
12. The recipient can collect their prize from the City of Ryde Libraries – Ryde Branch.
13. If the Promoter is unable to contact the winner within seven (7) days, the winner will forfeit their prize. A new random prize draw will take place.
14. The Prize, or any unused portion of the Prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash. The Prize is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
15. The Prize is subject to any conditions imposed by the Promoter.
16. The Promoter recognises that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
17. By entering the competition, the winner consents to their name being published as winner of the competition and to participate in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion in printed and/or online formats.
18. All decisions made by the judging panel are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
19. City of Ryde will not be responsible for any entries that are not received for any reason, by the closing date and time, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions. 
20. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award any of the Prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

Definitions
“Participant” means any person who enters the “2026 Library Lovers My Library Memory Competition”.
“Promoter” means the City of Ryde Libraries of 1 Pope Street, Ryde NSW 2113.
