Hoardings
(Pursuant to the Roads Act 1993 and the local Government Act 1993)
Type A Hoarding
Type A hoarding is a temporary, ground-level barrier constructed from materials such as plywood, timber, or steel. It is designed to enclose a construction site and prevent public access, ensuring safety and security around the work zone.
Type B Hoarding
Type B hoarding is a steel-framed temporary structure positioned on or above a public thoroughfare. It provides overhead protection for pedestrians and vehicles while also enclosing or separating the construction area from the public road. This structure incorporates a site fence and allows safe movement beneath the hoarding deck.
Application Forms for temporary placement of overhead hoardings or fencing on the footpath can be found here(PDF, 156KB).
Your application for an extension to a Hoarding should be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the expiration of the original approval.
