Join us in person on Extreme Heat Awareness Day to explore community-driven solutions for staying safe and resilient to extreme heat.

The City of Ryde, in collaboration with Sweltering Cities and Macquarie University, invites you to a community forum focused on building cooler, safer communities in response to increasing extreme heat events.

Hear from Australia’s only national advocacy group tackling extreme heat and leading Macquarie University researchers who are exploring the impacts of urban heat and the role of planning and urban greening in creating more resilient cities.

  • Cool refreshments provided
  • How to get there: Take the Sydney Metro to Macquarie University station or catch a bus to University Avenue, Macquarie University and walk to 8 Hadenfeld Avenue. Paid visitor parking available nearby to the venue.

Together, let’s learn how we can take action to protect our communities and adapt to a changing climate.
