Scanning cards
If your card will not scan, try holding it directly under the scanner and slowly lowering it until it registers. Please note that digital and physical cards may scan best at slightly different heights based on device settings.
If your card is not recognised, there may be a problem with your membership. Please contact the library during opening hours for assistance with this.
Using 2-factor authentication
If you do not receive a text message code after scanning your card, make sure you have pressed “OK” on the terminal. Additionally, check that you have not got any spam or junk filters enabled on your mobile phone that are preventing the text message from coming through. If you have checked these things and are still not receiving a text message, there may be a system issue or a problem with your membership. Please contact the library during opening hours for assistance with this.
Library computers
Please note that the library computers will restart at the library’s closing time and again at midnight every day. You will receive a notification while you are using the computer that a restart will take place. Please ensure that you have saved all work. The restart will take around 10 minutes and you can then resume your use of the computers.
