Nowruz | Persian New Year

On the 20 March 2026 we invited the community to join us at the Nowruz 2026 ceremony, marking the Persian New Year. Nowruz, meaning "New Day", signifies the arrival of spring in the northern hemisphere and is followed by millions globally across diverse cultures and ethnicities, including Persian, Afghan, Kurdish, Azerbaijani, Tajik and Uzbek communities. This event symbolises renewal, joy and unity.

The evening included cultural performances, live music, face painting and a traditional Haft-Sin display as we acknowledged this important occasion and the rich heritage it represents.

This year, our Nowruz gathering was both a celebration of renewal and a moment of solidarity with families grieving overseas. We came together not only to honour Persian culture, but to support each other as a community.
