Playgrounds

In line with the NSW Government’s easing of COVID-19-related restrictions, all City of Ryde playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment, park barbecues and shelters, and the Meadowbank Skate Park will open to the public as of Friday 15 May 2020.

Social distancing requirements remain in force and park users are reminded to practice good personal hygiene. Please wash your hands and use hand sanitiser and/or disinfectant wipes before and after using Council equipment.

Park and playground users must ensure there is a maximum of one person per four square metres and keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres from others, with a maximum of 20 people gathering in the same space.

Council is proud of its playgrounds, many of which have been upgraded in recent years. Council has a 20 year plan for the future development of parks and open spaces including the provision of more playgrounds across the City.
