Collage Club
Join us for Collage Club this year at Ryde and West Ryde Library — a creative series designed to inspire, relax, and connect you with the simple pleasure of making art. The sessions will be from 10am-12pm on the fourth (4th) Tuesday morning of the month, bi-monthly at Ryde and West Ryde Libraries.
Ideal for adult beginners and anyone wishing to return to creativity, this workshop offers a gentle introduction to collage through guided techniques and creative prompts that help you build confidence and develop your own visual style.
You’ll be introduced to simple composition principles such as balance, contrast, and focal points, along with easy layering and adhesive techniques that bring a polished finish to your work. Along the way, you’ll explore how collage can express mood, story, and personal meaning in a creative and approachable way.
During the session, you’ll explore a range of collage styles while experimenting with colour, texture, form, composition, and image placement. Materials are supplied for you, and you are welcome to bring along your own papers or special items if you would like to create something even more personal.
Bookings are preferred. To book call Ryde Library on 02 9952 8352 or see Library Staff.
At the end of the sessions, you’ll take home a finished collage of your own — a unique piece to keep, gift, or proudly display.
PLEASE NOTE - This workshop is open to all people 18 years and over and people with disability are welcomed to attend, please bring your carer/support person with you if you require assistance to participate in the workshop.
