Mayor Clr Trenton Brown

Community members will have a chance to interact with City of Ryde Mayor, Clr Trenton Brown and senior Council staff at an upcoming Forum, to discuss a wide array of topics that impact both individuals and the broader community.

The Forum is to encourage transparency and engagement within our diverse and inclusive community, and to significantly enhance communication and trust between the Council and the Ryde community.

At the Ordinary Meeting on 26 March 2024, Council resolved to commence the forums on a trial basis starting in April at the Council Chambers and then to be held progressively at venues across each ward so that all residents will be able to attend. The Mayor stated in his Mayoral Minute “In the interests of transparency, it is important to consult and engage with members of the public on issues that affect them and our community and respond to issues facing our community with genuine solutions.”

To register and submit a question for the first Forum, which will be held on Monday 22 April from 6pm at the City of Ryde Council Chambers at 1a Pope St, Ryde, please visit the Mayor’s Public Forum registration page. The option to submit a question ends on Thursday 18 April at 5.00 pm.

Attendance at the Forum is for City of Ryde residents and ratepayers only.
