Active Kids Jr : Learn to Ride Workshop / 3-7 Years / Brush Farm
Next date: Tuesday, 07 July 2026 | 09:45 AM
to 12:00 PM
Is your child ready to learn to ride with confidence? This hands-on workshop is designed to help kids - and their grown-ups - navigate the exciting transition to pedals and riding independently.
What to Expect
Led by experienced and supportive instructors, the workshop creates a relaxed and encouraging environment where children build balance, coordination, and the skills to start pedalling.
Any training wheels and pedals will be removed at the start of the session, and bikes set up specifically for learning. Pedals will only be reattached when the child is ready to make the transition - many will be pedalling by the end of the session!
All Abilities Welcome
Please note that younger children may find the full session a bit long—that’s okay! Leaving early is absolutely fine, and everybody will go home empowered with knowledge and strategies to keep practicing confidently at their own pace. We do ask that everybody arrives on time.
Parent Participation is Key
This is a collaborative workshop. Parents and carers are expected to participate and will leave equipped to support their child’s continued riding journey. You'll learn what to practice, how to identify when your child is ready to transition to pedals, and how to set up their bike for success. Parents/carers are required to be present on-site if you have a child participating in the workshop.
What to Bring
- roadworthy bike with working brakes
- A correctly fitting helmet
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- A can-do attitude and sense of adventure!
Important: Your child must be able to touch the ground flat-footed while seated on their bike. A bike that is a little too small is better than one that's too big when learning.
