This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect introduction! Designed especially for youth aged 15-19 years old with no prior experience, you’ll learn how to get started with knitting in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.

All materials are provided, including your own set of knitting needles and yarn.

The first part of the workshop will cover fundamentals about knitting with an introduction to the essential tools and techniques. You will learn:

  • How to read knitting patterns
  • Different ways of knitting
  • Casting on off
  • Joining new colours
  • Basic stitches

In the second half of the workshop, you’ll get started on very first project. Choose to create a scarf or learn how to knit a square to contribute to the Wrap with Love Project. Patterns will be available to guide you.
