Skills We Will Learn Together

• Core acting skills: spontaneity, character, emotion, status, and responding to offers.
• Introduction to physical comedy and clowning.
• Short-form improvisation and scene work with peers.
• Character creation through collaborative exercises.
• Story-building with a focus on comedic conflict and clear scene premises.
• Comedy tools: heightening, exaggeration, objectives, obstacles, POV, breaking expectations, and timing.
• Developing reflective practice through feedback and guided discussion with the teaching artist.
• Practice newly learned and developed skills in an end of day showing for family and friends.
