2026 Census Fill-in-the-Form Session - Your voice counts!
The 2026 Census will take place on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. The information collected helps shape important local services and facilities for our community.
The Census is compulsory under the Census and Statistics Act 1905. Everyone in Australia on Census night, Tuesday 11 August 2026, must be included on the Census form.
This includes:
- visa holders
- international visitors
- international students.
From late July 2026, most households will receive a letter in mail with instructions on how to complete the Census online. Paper Census forms will no longer be automatically mailed to households and must be requested.
In the session, you can collect a paper Census form from Census staff. They will help you understand the Census and how the data helps plan vital services, guide you step-by-step through the Census form, explain how your personal information is kept safe and private, and answer any questions you may have. Whether you are completing it online or on paper, they are here to help.
PLEASE NOTE: Community members can collect a paper form or bring their digital device to complete the digital form. Please rememember to bring the letter from Australian Bureau of Statistics Census 2026 and driver licence or photo ID if you require help with filling in the form.
Come along to get the help you need and ensure everyone in our community is counted!
This event is brought to you by City of Ryde Libraries and presented by Australian Bureau of Statistics Census 2026.
