Experience music, dance, poetry & performances celebrating Ryde’s cultural diversity

Cultural Encounters is a new quarterly City of Ryde initiative designed to celebrate the arts, creativity and cultural expression of our diverse community.

This Harmony Week event marks the official launch of the series in 2026. Through live performances and artistic expression, residents of all ages are invited to experience, appreciate and connect with the diverse cultures that make up our community.

The evening will feature a curated program of performances highlighting the arts of (TBC), showcasing the richness of Ryde’s multicultural identity through music, dance and creative expression.

To support family participation, the event will also include a dedicated children’s arts and crafts area delivered by Messy Makers, offering fun, hands-on creative activities for young people. This addition ensures the evening is welcoming, engaging and accessible for families.

Designed as a shared space of celebration and connection, Cultural Encounters invites the community to encounter cultures beyond their own while strengthening understanding, respect and belonging across Ryde.
