A re you unsure how to keep yourself safe from scammers? Join our information session at West Ryde Library to increase your scams awareness and empower yourself to keep your data and finances safe from those who want to steal them.

Learn information on how to protect yourself against scams, fraudulent emails, calls and text messages, including:

  • what scams are
  • what scammers do and how they operate
  • how to spot a scam (with examples)
  • what to do if you’re affected.

Presented by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Scams Awareness Week is a national campaign dedicated to helping Australians recognise, avoid and report scams. Each year, it brings together government, businesses, community and consumer groups, educational organisations and individuals to raise awareness and strengthen our collective defence against scammers. By working together, we can help ensure all Australians stay safe from scams.
