The City of Ryde’s annual Sustainable Waste to Art Prize (SWAP) is back! With larger prizes and more opportunities to get creative, this environmental art competition is not to be missed.

SWAP is a chance to express your creativity through re-purposing rubbish and recovered materials. At a time when reducing waste is more important than ever, SWAP presents a fun opportunity to learn new skills and explore the artistic potential of items you would usually throw away.

The City of Ryde worked with The Creative Teacher, Adam Galea, and CLIPPED.TV to develop some digital workshops to give you ideas and inspiration to make SWAP artworks from the comfort of your own home. These workshops align with some of the activities outlined in the SWAP Educational Resource.

Watch the videos below to get inspired. Once you’re done, don’t forget to enter your artwork in this year’s competition.
