Volunteer Recognition Awards

Volunteer Recognition Awards - Your Year to Volunteer

Nominations for the 2026 Volunteer Recognition Awards are fast approaching.

Nominations open: Monday 2 March 2026
Nominations close: Sunday 5 April 2026

Every year a committed and largely unseen army of volunteers give their time and skills to enhance and uplift the life of the community within the City of Ryde.

Your Year to Volunteer honours the contributions of these volunteers and invites people across Australia to make 2026 a year of meaningful involvement, in ways that work for them.

The 2025 Volunteer Recognition Awards were held on Thursday 22 May and we are excited to announce our winners below.

In her volunteering capacity, she offers mentorship and access to outdoor experiences, helping young girls grow in confidence and community spirit.

Volunteer Group of the Year | 4GreaterGood

Led by young changemakers Téa and Isla Costin, 4GreaterGood delivers practical support to individuals and families experiencing hardship. Their outreach includes food relief through their signature program 100 Meals in 100 Minutes, hygiene packs, and advocacy for those doing it tough.

We would like to thank all of the 2025 Nominees for their exceptional contributions within the Ryde community.

If you know of other unsung heroes within the Ryde community that deserve to be recognised, please remember to nominate them for the 2026 awards next year.
