Where is 2026 West Ryde Easter Celebrations being held?

City of Ryde’s 2026 West Ryde Easter Celebrations will be held on Saturday 28 March from 9am – 3.30pm at Anzac Park, West Ryde.

Is entry free?

Entry is free.

What happens to lost property?

Lost property can be taken to the Information Booths. Items will be returned to their owners who are able to correctly identify the items. Any items that are not claimed will be taken back to the City of Ryde offices you can then contact customer service (9952 8222) post event to collect items. 

What is the procedure for lost children/persons?

Let’s hope this doesn’t happen but if you do find a lost child or lose your child go to the Information Booths, or St Johns immediately. Staff will work with security and police to reunite lost children with their carers as soon as possible.

There are wrist bands available at the Information Booths for you to write your contact details on and secure on your child’s wrist.

Crowds are expected – we also recommend you plan a meeting point with your children in case they become separated from you.

Please note that adult supervision is required at all children activities by carers.

Inclement Weather?

City of Ryde events team will monitor the weather leading up to the event and will notify the public of any updates via the City of Ryde website and social media pages.

How do I get there?

West Ryde train and bus station is located near the event and we encourage everyone to travel via public transport where possible. Visit trip planner at www.transportnsw.info to organise your journey from start to finish.

Will there be road closures?

Section of Wattle Street will be closed from 6.30pm Friday 27 March until 7pm Saturday 28 March.

Will there be entertainment?

Yes, we have a stage located on Anzac Park that will have several performances throughout the event and a Singing Competition from 12.30pm.

Will there be activities for kids?

There is a huge variety of activities for the kids to enjoy, including carnival rides, free face painting and craft, Petting Zoo, Pony rides and much more!

How much are ride tickets?

An all-rides wristband can be purchased from the information stall for $30 which includes access to all rides and entry into the animal farm (excluding pony rides and games). Single ride tickets and animal farm entry can be purchased for $10. Pony ride tickets can be purchased directly from the pony ride area. The first 500 people to purchase a wristband will receive a free easter gift bag. EFTPOS only will be available to purchase rides wristbands and tickets.

Where can I purchase Pony ride tickets?

Pony ride tickets can be purchased directly from Pony Area - $10 per ride. Weight and height restrictions may apply.

 

Are there any Competitions?

There are a variety of competitions leading up to the festival and on the day of the festival. Please head to our competitions page for more information.

What should I bring?

  • Suitable clothes for weather on the day
  • Reusable water bottle and bag
  • Sunscreen, hats and UV protected clothing
  • Eftpos / Credit Card

What about waste at the event?

City of Ryde is committed to a sustainable environment and West Ryde Easter Celebrations is designated as a ‘Waste Wise Event.’ We encourage festival attendees to bring their own bags and re-useable water bottles as no plastic water bottles or plastic bags can be sold at the event. A water station will be available across the day found within the park.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, this event is open to all age groups.

Can we bring dogs?

Yes, small to medium size dogs are allowed within the event area. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the dog does not impact other attendee’s experience.

Is there food available?

Yes, there will be a number of food trucks and a BBQ stall at this event for you to purchase hot food and desserts from.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you may bring your own food. Please make sure you discard all your rubbish at the end of the day.

Do you have ATMs onsite?

No, there will be no ATMs onsite to provide cash out.  EFTPOS only will be available to purchase rides wristbands and tickets.

Is there seating available?

There will be limited seating on the day in front of the stage including chairs and some tables.

Can you smoke onsite?

No smoking or vaping is allowed onsite.

Can I bring my pram to the event?

Yes, but please be considerate of where you are placing your pram to not obstruct walkways or view of entertainment for other patrons.

What happens with any photos or videos that might be taken of me whilst I am at the event?

We will have a photographer at the event. Photographs taken at the event may be used in future for promotional purposes.

Is this site accessible for people with restricted mobility?

Is there mobility drop off and parking available?

If you have a mobility parking permit and require close access to the event, use our drop-off zone. Enter Wattle Street via ANZAC avenue.

Is there parking available?

Parking is limited, so we recommend using public transport as your primary option. Public parking is available on surrounding streets and at the following locations: West Ryde Train Station and Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club (with time restrictions).
