Council  follows a Community Participation Plan (CPP) that outlines the mandatory community engagement requirements (how and when Council will engage with the community) on planning matters. The CPP reflects the community participation requirements in planning legislation, including mandatory consultation timeframes.

Development Proposal: Change of operational hours of an approved Coles and Liquorland. The standard hours of operation which are already approved are 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to 8pm Sundays and public holidays. This proposal seeks to extend trading for a further 2 hours on Sundays to enable trading and delivery hours of 7am to 10pm 7 days a week, except for Good Friday, Christmas Day and Anzac Day.

Development Proposal: Construct and operate sports field lighting at Field No. 3 at Morrison Bay Park. This involves construction of four 18m high light poles with LED lights on each pole. Lights would be used for training and social sports. The proposed hours of operation of the  lights are:

  • Winter (April to August): Monday to Friday – 4pm to 9:30pm 
  • Summer (September to March): Monday to Friday – 6pm to 9pm.

Anyone may make submissions concerning these applications. Submissions are required to be in writing, and should the submission be by way of objection to the proposal, the submission should specify the grounds of objection.
