Following the City of Ryde Council Meeting adjournment from last night (Tuesday 29 April) due to a fire alarm evacuation interrupting proceedings, the meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday 30 April, at 7.00pm.
As part of the City of Ryde’s Foreshore Program, Council will be upgrading the foreshore at Kissing Point Park, near the end of Yaralla Road, Putney. These works are to help prevent erosion and damage to the riverbanks and protect the coastal flora and fauna.
What will the works include? The works will include construction of a rock seawall in front of the existing embankment and small breakwaters constructed with sandstone boulders.
When will the works take place? Typically works will be carried out Monday to Friday and some Saturdays between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm. Some works will be scheduled outside these hours to coincide with tidal and marine operational requirements.
Changed conditions: For the duration of the works, the foreshore access path will be closed to cyclists and pedestrians with alternative paths in place.
