Sustainability Festival

Thank you to all who attended the City of Ryde’s 2023 Sustainability Festival on Sunday 04 June!

The morning rain didn’t stop the crowd from attending and we loved seeing and meeting all the passionate people who were keen to incorporate sustainability tips into their own lives, whether it be reducing carbon emissions by using sustainable transport or reducing waste to landfill.

Congratulation to our social media competition winners, they are contributing to stopping the plastic pollution by ‘growing food from seeds or scraps so no unnecessary pots, making what they can and reducing plastic packaging, bringing their reusable containers and bags to reduce single use plastic, and mindfully purchasing products without plastic or made of recycled plastics

A big thank you to our sponsors Tumbleweed and Busways for supporting this worthwhile event, as well as all the educators, stall holders, performers, vendors, volunteers and staff.

And a special thank you to those who attended! We hope you had a great time and learnt something new in the process.

Check back early next year for information on our 2024 Sustainability Festival, to be held the first Sunday in June to coincide with World Environment Day celebrations!
