Council Resolution | Social Strategy and Creativity Strategy 2025-2030

The Draft Social Strategy 2025-2030 and Draft Creativity Strategy 2025-2030 were on public exhibition from 10 April to 8 June 2025, during which our community shared their feedback.

The community engagement outcomes were reported at recent Council Meetings and the feedback helped inform Council's decision.

At the meeting on Tuesday 22 July 2025, Council resolved to endorse and adopt the Social Strategy 2025-2030 and the Creativity Strategy 2025-2030.


Council Resolution

At the Council Meeting held on Tuesday 22 July 2025, it was resolved:

(a) That Council endorses and adopts the Social Strategy 2025-2030 and the Creativity Strategy 2025-2030.

(b) That Council notes the supporting information provided regarding criticality of the proposed actions and events and expected numbers of participants.

(c) That Council endorses and adopts the Social Strategy 2025-2030 (provided in ATTACHMENTS 1 and 2) and the Creativity Strategy 2025- 2030 (provided in ATTACHMENTS 3 and 4).

(d) That Council endorses and adopts the Social Action Plan 2025-26 and the Creativity Action Plan 2025-26 to guide implementation during the 2025- 26 financial year, however, does not proceed with the $36,000 social wellbeing survey and creative Ryde survey, and does not proceed with the $10,000 creativity development study, thereby achieving a budget saving of $46,000.

(e) That any future actions and budget to implement the Social Strategy and Creativity Strategy beyond 2025/2026 financial year be presented to Council for approval during 2026.


Next Steps

Council will implement both Strategies as guided by the adopted Action Plans and Council Resolution.
