Granny Smith Festival Parade Participants The Grand Street Parade sponsored by Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club will kick off at 9.30am with a beautiful array of colour and sound, celebrating our vibrant and diverse community. Enjoy marching bands, community floats, dancers and of course our festival float that will feature Mrs Smith herself!

The best spot to view the parade is on Rowe Street so follow the pink parade route on the map and grab your spot early. 

Granny Smith Festival Parade Competition

Parade applications are now closed.

We will be running a competition on the day for the most creative and exciting parade group. Judging will take place during the Grand Street Parade on 19 October 2024 and winner/s will be announced during the Official Welcome at 11am on the Oval Stage. Judges will be looking for the most exciting, fun parade groups which could include props, costumes, acts and other accessories. 

Make sure to show your support for your favourite group on the day by cheering along the parade route.

Parade Competition | Prizes

The winners will receive: 
1st Prize: $200 Anystore Gift Card 
2nd Prize: $100 Anystore Gift Card 
3rd Prize: $50 Anystore Gift Card

 

Parade Competition | Terms & Conditions

  • This competition is only open to organisations who are participating in the Granny Smith Festival Grand Street Parade sponsored by Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club on 19st October 2024.
  • Limit of 1 entry per organisation
  • City of Ryde staff members, Councillors and their families and any promotional partners are not able to enter the competition.
  • By participating in the parade, is automatic acceptance of the Terms & Conditions
  • If the event organiser is unable to contact the winning organisation/s within 7 days, the next runners up may receive the prize.
  • The winners will be chosen by a Judging panel. The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • All entries will be considered with equal weighting.
  • The Prize is subject to any conditions imposed by the Promoter.
  • Applicants agree that any photos taken on the day of the festival can be displayed through Council’s communication channels. No personal details will be uploaded; only the parade group name.
  • The Promoter recognises that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. 
  • In the event that a prize is lost or damaged after being awarded, City of Ryde are not responsible for providing a replacement or issuing another form of compensation for the lost prize
