In July 2022, City of Ryde adopted the Green Links Masterplan - a long-term vision for three urban green corridors that support biodiversity, provide active transport routes, and activate open space for our community.
One of these corridors, the Shrimptons Creek Green Link, connects Macquarie Park and West Ryde through pedestrian and cycle paths. As part of its implementation, Council will construct a rest stop and bike repair station in Santa Rosa Park, Ryde.
A new rest stop will be installed in Santa Rosa Park, along the existing shared user path. It will include:

Council is currently in the process of finalising the plans and the work is expected to commence in October 2026.
