Cork & Fork by the Riverside showcase’s boutique wine from the Mudgee and Hunter Valley regions, locally made spirits, craft beer, food trucks, gourmet food products, bespoke items, and great music in a picturesque location next to the Parramatta River. This year it will be held on Sunday 21 May 2023 at Kissing Point Park, Putney from 10.00am – 4.00pm.

To taste test all of our wonderful wine, brewery, and distillery suppliers you will need to purchase your own branded Cork and Fork wine glass on the day for $10. Glasses will be on sale at our ticket booths (cashless payment only).

We will have plenty on offer for the whole family to enjoy including kids’ workshops, face painting and rides.

Frequently asked Questions

Where is Cork and Fork being held?

City of Ryde’s Cork and Fork event is being held on Sunday 21 May at Kissing Point Park, Putney.

Is entry free?

Entry is free. If you wish to purchase alcohol from one of our stallholders, you must purchase a festival wine glass for $10 from the Festival Information Store.

Are the tastings free?

This is up to the discretion of each stallholder. Beverage Stallholders have been encouraged to provide event patrons with free tastings prior to purchasing.

How can I purchase a drink inside the event?

Once a branded festival glass is purchased from the festival information stall. You can then purchase a glass of your choice at any of the participating beverage stallholders. 

Can you BYO own alcohol to the event?

No, patrons are not allowed to bring their own alcohol to the event. Drinks must be purchased from one of the licensed & approved beverage stallholders. 

What should I bring?

  • Photo ID
  • Warm clothes & jacket
  • Eftpos/ Credit Card
  • Picnic Rug or low-lying chair
  • Reusable water bottle & bag

Can I bring my children?

Yes, you can there are a variety of kid’s activities available on the day. All Children under 17 yrs. of age must always be companied by an adult.  

Can we bring dogs?

Yes, small to medium size dogs are allowed within the event area. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the dog does not impact.

Is there food available?

There will be a selection of food truck options to purchase.

What age group are the rides suitable for?

Rides are suitable for ages 2+ Height restrictions apply.

Do you have ATMS onsite?

No, there will be no ATMs onsite to provide cash out. If you wish to bring cash, please arrange before coming to the venue. All stallholders will have a cashless payment option available. 

Is there seating available?

There will be limited seating available on the day.  We encourage all patrons to BYO low lying chair or picnic rugs.

Can you smoke onsite?

No. Smoking is not allowed onsite.

Can I bring my pram to the event?

Yes, but please be considerate of where you are placing your pram to not obstruct walkways or view of entertainment for other patrons. 

Can I bring my own food?

Although we do not encourage this you may bring your own food. Please make sure you discard all your rubbish at the end of the day. 

What happens with any photos or videos that might be taken of me whilst I am at the event?

We may have a professional photographer and/or videographer at the event. If this is the case, there will be signs at the event advising you of this. Photographs and video footage taken at the event may be used in future for promotional purposes.

Is there parking available?

There is limited parking available in Cleves Park. We do encourage event patrons to use public transport or our shuttle bus service. 

What happens in case of Wet Weather?

The City of Ryde events team will monitor the weather leading up to the event and will notify the public of any updates via the City of Ryde website and Facebook page.

Is this site accessible for people with restricted mobility?

The City of Ryde is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. A disability drop off zone will be located on Douglas street near the corner of Waterview Street. Please contact the City of Ryde Events team to request further accommodations via email at events@ryde.nsw.gov.au. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.

What are your policies on the Responsible service of Alcohol?

  • Security Guards and RSA Marshalls will be onsite throughout the day roaming the venue.
  • Photo ID will be required to purchase and consume alcohol. Service will not be provided to people under 18 years of age.
  • Takeaway sales are permitted on the day, these must be sold in a sealed bag and not consumed onsite.
  • Patrons will be assessed by beverage suppliers, event staff and RSA officers upon entry and service and if deemed to be intoxicated patrons will be refused service or entry
