Pie Eating Contest | Terms and Conditions

  • The Promoter is the City of Ryde of 3 Richardson Place, North Ryde NSW 2113, ABN number 81 621 292 610.
  • The City of Ryde “Granny Smith Festival Pie Eating Competition” commences at 1:15pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Saturday 21st October 2023 and ends at 2:00pm AEST on Saturday 21st October 2023
  • Entry into the promotion is open to residents of NSW, Australia who are 18+.
  • To enter the competition, entrants must register their personal details and sign contest form prior to event or on event day.
  • Entries are limited to one (1) per entrant and must have registered online prior to 15th October 2023 and checked in 30minutes prior to contest start time with stage manager or risk losing their spot.
  • Whoever eats their apple pie first will be declared a Granny Smith Pie winner and receive $50 Woolworth gift card. Runner Up with will a $20 Woolworth gift card plus everyone that participates will receive a GSF merch pack.
  • The pie eating judges have final say declaring a winner
  • Contestants will not be permitted to use their hands, any contestants using their hand or hands to touch the pie or the plates will be immediately disqualified. Contestants will be allowed to use their hands to drink water.
  • A contestant will be immediately disqualified for vomiting during the contest
  • City of Ryde staff members, Councillors, committee members and their families and any promotional partners are not able to enter the competition.
  • The Prize will be given to winner on Saturday 21st October 2023.
  • The Prize, or any unused portion of the Prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash. The Prize is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
  • The Prize is subject to any conditions imposed by the Promoter.
  • In the case of event cancellation, the Prize will be forfeited.
  • The Promoter recognises that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.
  • By entering the competition, the winner consents to their name being published as winner of the competition and to participate in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion in printed and/or online formats.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award any of the Prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  • Participants enter this competition at their own risk.
  • The participant agrees to indemnity and keep indemnified the City of Ryde against any liability, actions, claims, demands, damages and expenses incurred or suffered by the City of Ryde in connection with or arising in any way out of the participation of the activity.
