Extreme Weather and Community Resilience Leaders Workshops

Extreme Weather

Relationships Australia and the Sydney Primary Health Network are pleased to bring this workshop to the Sydney North region. They are seeking community members aiming to support their community to prepare for and recover from extreme weather events.

This free leadership program aims to help you understand the impacts of disasters, how to build capacity in your community to respond, and how to look after yourself.

You will develop key leadership skills in adapting to a changing climate, including;

  • Understanding the meaning of building community resilience
  • Recognising the consequences of repeat disasters and the effects on individuals and communities
  • Building practical skills to support local level preparedness and recovery

The workshop will be delivered in a two-day, in-person format. After the workshops, there is potential to support you to implement a resilience project within your local community.
