Willandra Open Day

Visit historic Willandra House, an 1840s Georgian home, for displays of memorabilia of the Ryde District's history from its origins.

Owned and maintained by Ryde City Council, the restored building was opened in 1980 and is home to the Ryde District Historical Society.

Get creative at our next Open Day on Sunday 21 April at Willandra.

Make your own bookmark! Come along and try your hand at calligraphy.

Members from the Australian Society of Calligraphers will be on hand to give you a demonstration of various types of calligraphy and answer your questions on all things calligraphic.

You can explore the house and its views over the Parramatta River; watch our movie on the district though the years; see our displays; what’s in our Archives, how did your street look in the past?; and purchase RDHS publications.

Entry and parking is via Willandra Street.

Please note there is no disabled access to Willandra and there are some stairs and uneven surfaces.
