Following the City of Ryde Council Meeting adjournment from last night (Tuesday 29 April) due to a fire alarm evacuation interrupting proceedings, the meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday 30 April, at 7.00pm.
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a life-saving device that uses an electric shock to help reset the heart. As sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in Australia, defibrillators are a vital tool. AEDs are automated devices, so first aid responders require little or no training in order to use them.
City of Ryde has defibrillators installed in Council buildings.
Sporting clubs are responsible for managing and maintaining defibrillators in parks.
