One person’s trash is another’s treasure so why not gather together your unwanted household items and hold a garage sale?
Garage Sales are a great way to meet the neighbours, claim back some much needed space in your home and turn your unwanted items into money in your pocket. You can help to reduce the amount of reusable items going to landfill and also have less to put out for your next Household CleanUp by holding a Garage Sale.
How does it work?
- City of Ryde will advertise your garage sale in the Northern District Times on the Wednesday prior to your sales event and also feature your garage sale on the Events Listings page.
- Organise a Saturday or Sunday to hold your garage sale and register your garage sale at least 10 business days prior to your desired sale event. Registration requests received outside of this time frame will still be eligible to be advertised on Council’s website but will not feature in the local paper.
- Download our free print-at-home resources including advertising poster, price tags plus our hints and tips leaflet. If you don’t have access to a printer, then you can request a copy to be mailed to you – contact Customer Service on 9952 8222 for more information.
